23 February 2009: Online renewal of IAVS memberships and member subscriptions is now available. For additional information click here.

7 November 2008: The 8th Annual Workshop on Vegetation Databases will be held February 25-27 at the University of Greifswald. The topic will be 'Vegetation databases and bioindication'.

10 October 2008: The 52st Annual Symposium of IAVS will be held 30 May - 4 June 2009 on the Isle of Crete, Greece. The deadline for submission of abstracts is 28 February 2009. For details see the IAVS 2009 Web Site.

10 October 2008: The 53rd Annual Symposium of IAVS will be held in April or May 2010 at Ensenada, Mexico on the Baja Peninsula.

1 August 2008: IAVS Bulletin 11 was released.

29 June 2008. IAVS has signed a contract with Wiley-Blackwell for publication of Journal of Vegetation Science and Applied Vegetation Science.

11 January 2008. IAVS has passed a resolution on Biofuels. Please share this with colleagues. To view the resolution go to http://www.iavs.org/biofuels.pdf.

20 November 2007: IAVS now has an IAVS Facebook group to help members communicate.
