Call to support Ukrainian grassland ecologists suffering from the Russian invasion

Ukrainian scientists are suffering in manifold ways from the Russian attack on their country: they had to flee their home cities or even their country, their salaries were cut or their research projects cancelled, they cannot go to the field or even do not have access to their scientific collections. To support our Ukrainian friends and colleagues, the IAVS Working Group EDGG has launched the "EDGG Fund for Ukrainian Scientists". If you wish to make a financial donation to this fund, you can easily do this via the IAVS accounts:

1. with credit card via https://www.iavs.org/donations/donate.asp?id=21837 or
2. with bank transfer to Internationale Vereniging voor Vegetatiekunde, BIC/Swift: SNS BNL 2A; IBAN: NL40 SNSB 0921 5290 23 by indicating "EDGG Donation Fund for Ukraine" in the subject line

Donations of any size are welcome. There is Grant Committee appointed by EDGG, which will assign small (500 EUR) grants for scientific projects proposed by Ukrainian applicants.
