IAVS Early Career Supporting Grant 2024

The Section Young Scientists of the International Association for Vegetation Science is launching a special grant program to assist its members in their career development.

The main aim of the grant is to stimulate and support the development of early-career researchers in vegetation science.

The awarded grants should help MSc and PhD students, as well as Postdocs with up to 2 years of working experience to advance their personal and professional development by, for example, attending training courses, workshops, field excursions, and short-term research stays in other institutions. You can also use it for purchasing material (reagents, equipment) that will directly help you and your career development (e.g. a computer for professional use or laboratory equipment). The grant, however, might not be used for participation in the IAVS symposia, as there is a specific grant for that purpose.

We explicitly support proposals with a clear focus on developing individual skills and competencies. Members of underrepresented groups are particularly encouraged to apply.
